The Social Equity Caucus Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute pilot is well underway, with strong results and an enthusiastic cohort of participants. Our next quarterly meeting will provide you with the opportunity to get more engaged with this exciting program for social change. Join Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute staff, cohort members, and allies, who will present you with a debrief of the pilot and solicit your suggestions about outcomes, target seats, curriculum, and alumni programming. We will also unveil the timeline for the next cohort.

Join us at "Velo Vigil” to urge governments and individuals to reduce greenhouse gas through U.S. action at the UN Climate Conference and through personal action like cycling.

Bring lots of bike reflectors (to make a sign) as well as LED lights, candles, and cameras. Non-cyclists and the whole family are welcome.

Bank of America's Barbara Desoer to Meet with CCISCO and PICO Leaders

St. Ignatius Church to Divest Unless Desoer Comes Through with Promise and Results

 After a successful protest in San Francisco, Bank of America President of Home Mortgages and Insurance Barbara Desoer has agreed to meet with CCISCO and PICO leaders on January 12, 2009 at Holy Rosary Church in Antioch for national loan modification negotiations.  With only a pitiful 98 permanent loan modifications across the country, Bank of America has fallen short of fulfilling their bailout promises.
