Put Oakland's needs first!: Join Oakland Rising in the fight to bring REAL jobs and resources to our community!
For too long, corporations have profited from loopholes that excuse them from paying their fair share of taxes and public dollars with no community returns. As a result, taxpayers are left in the dark with few family-sustaining jobs and fewer resources. Last month, Oakland Rising talked to over 17,000 Oaklanders about real solutions to the budget crisis and protecting critical services. Over 70% said they wanted to raise tax revenue from corporations instead of cutting more services. Start: 6:00 pm

Deepen your role as a climate change advocate with the Ecology Center's free facilitator trainings. If you've already participated in a Climate Action Workshop series or would rather lead your own with friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, congregation members or others, come to our one-session facilitator training. We'll share materials and strategies to help you easily mobilize your community members, and we'll provide ongoing support as you plan and hold your own series.
