Welcome to the Table: Justice is Served!

The East Bay Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice is hosting its annual breakfast for 2008, "Welcome to the Table!  Justice is Served."  Join us as labor and faith leaders come together to renew and expand our mutual commitment to fighting for worker justice.

This year, the ICWJ will be presenting the "Courageous Voice" Award to a worker leader who has made outstanding strides to pursue the right of dignity in the workplace in ICWJ campaigns.  The award will recognize a worker who has taken a leap of faith by leading the path towards justice for other worker colleagues to follow, thereby gaining momentum in campaigns.  The worker leader receiving this award will be someone who has become a pioneer in her/his workplace through demonstrated perseverance, significant risk taking, and help mobilizing and inspiring other workers.  To nominate a worker leader, please email icwj@workingeastbay.org.  Nominations will be taken until March 15th, at which time the award decision will be made by the ICWJ Board of Directors.
