While climate change is an urgent problem that hurts everyone, it is especially harmful to African Americans and low-income people of color. A new report, "A Climate of Change: African Americans, Global Warming, and a Just Climate Policy for the U.S.", a collaborative study by Environmental Justice and Climate Change Initiative and Redefining Progress, analyzes the effects of rising temperatures, greater pollution levels, and a host of other harms from global warming and finds that climate change can be an opportunity for social justice.

The report also examines leading policy solutions and shows that the policies most beneficial to African Americans also best serve the U.S. economy and the environment as a whole. Please join us as we discuss the effects of global warming on African Americans and the climate polices that best address these inequities.

Please RSVP to communications@rprogress.org.
