Strong Schools Build Strong Communities

 Elected officials and community leaders are invited to join ABAG and the Center for Cities & Schools (CC&S) for a roundtable discussion on the connections between planning and education on Thursday, February 18th from 9:00 a.m. to noon in Berkeley. Attendees will learn how to facilitate dialogue between city governments and school districts and how to involve school districts in the planning process. An overview of topics will include an analysis of the impact of new housing on schools, transportation connections, and new school development. Presenters will also explore community schools, joint use of school facilities, and opportunities for student learning through civic engagement.
