Housing Crisis Town Hall
REDI organized a Housing Crisis Town Hall to address the forecelosure crisis (pictured above) with over 500 attendees including a community members, a majority of Richmond's city council, Richmond Mayor McClaughlin, and representatives of County Supervisor John Gioia, Congress Member George Miller, Assembly Member Nancy Skinner, The Contra Costa County Central Labor Council, Mechanics Bank and more.

Improved Code Enforcement
In response to the REDI Housing Crisis Town Hall, the City of Richmond's Code Enforcement Department increased their staff, increased patrols, increased blight citations and fines issued and have collected over $100,000 in fines holding banks accountable for theirunmaintained foreclosed properties that contribute to neighborhood blight
