Community Land Trust Resolution

What is a communtiy land trust?
  • A tool to create long-term, community controlled affordable housing.
  • A way to provide access to home ownership for those who otherwise could not own a home
  • A tool to stabilize neighborhoods hit hard by the foreclosure crisis.
  • The communtiy land trust we propose will be made up of several houses on blocks suffereing from foreclosures and blight. These homes would be rehabilited according to green standards.
  • The land trust is managed by a board of directors including representives of the community, the city and housing groups. It is governed by this board and the community members who own land trust homes
