Banks got bailed out, yet thousands of Richmond residents have been kicked out and many more are projected to in the near future. On the heels of President Obama's Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan, community members will present new research findings on regional banking practices and propose bold, precedent-setting solutions to provide relief for endangered neighborhoods and for long-term neighborhood stability.
WHAT:
A Town Hall forum where bank representatives and elected officials from city, county and state government will hear personal stories from families hurt by the foreclosure crisis and about neighborhoods torn apart by preventable foreclosures. Innovative solutions will be proposed to protect this endangered community and to help rebuild this city of pride and purpose.

WHY:
Working families are struggling to save themselves from total despair. The Richmond community has solutions that will halt this crisis locally and provide the model for communities nationally. It's time for housing policy that promotes long-term stability.
