CCII explores creation of new community development fund

The Community Capital Investment Initiative (CCII) is a regional effort to encourage community revitalization in low- and moderate income neighborhoods in the Bay Area, guided by the Bay Area Council, Urban Habitat and the National Economic Development and Law Center.CCII is currently studying the feasibility of creating a new fund geared specifically to non-profit developers, smaller community based for-profit developers, and/or joint ventures between for-profit and non-profit developers.  The fund would likely be capitalized between $20 and $40 million and will support a range of development needs, including predevelopment and site acquisition.
