Improve Transit for Low-income Communities
The next Regional Transportation Plan will determine how over $100 billion in Federal, State and local transportation funds will be spent in the Bay Area over the next 25 years. Bottom line: if a project is not in the plan, then it won’t be funded.
That is why it is crucial that funding for transit serving communities of color and low-income communities is prioritized. Join Urban Habitat, members of the Transportation Justice Working Group (TJWG) and others to ensure that all communities benefit from high quality, affordable and convenient public transit. We will be developing our goals and platform on April 23rd. To RSVP or for more information, please contact Bob Allen bob (at) urbanhabitat (dot) org or 510-839-3716.
