Office Space to Open at Brower Center

Come early 2009, the David Brower Center will open with more than 50,000 square feet of space. The LEED Platinum-rated David Brower Center will include three floors of office space, the 180-seat Richard and Rhoda Goldman Theater, conference, meeting, and program facilities, the Kendeda Gallery, and a restaurant/café.
The Brower Center is destined to be a world-class hub for environmental and social change. Located at 2150 Allston Way, a block from BART in the heart of downtown Berkeley, this new building will not only provide healthy office and program space, but it will allow a community of nonprofit organizations to co-locate and share resources, ultimately strengthening the work of each group. The Brower Center is specifically interested in serving those working for environmental justice and, what David Brower called, planetary CPR: conservation, preservation, and restoration.
