Action Alert: Help Secure Our Oakland Airport Connector Victory at the MTC Board, January 27th at 9:00
We have won a major victory on the Oakland Airport Connector, as the federal government has ruled that BART has not complied with Title VI civil rights law. There is a strong chance that this could be the end of the project, and millions of dollars could go to supporting the basic transit service low-income people and people of color depend on.

However, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) could still decide to take a $70 million dollar gamble and move forward with the project, betting on BART’s ability to meet the FTA’s requirements. We need your help cementing our victory. MTC will be meeting on Wednesday (the 27th) to decide whether to continue to support the project. We need a strong and loud community presence to make it clear that this unjust, discriminatory project does not have our support!
The meeting timeline is not yet firm, so stay tuned for details
