Merritt College Offers Environmental Justice courses and Carl Anthony Keynote

Carl Anthony and Paloma Pavel will keynote the free Friday, October 3 Urban Sustainability Conference at Merritt College 9am - 3pm register at www.sustainableperalta.org. Carl Anthony was a founding member of the David R. Brower, Ronald V. Dellums Institute for Sustainable Policy Studies at Merritt College.

Introduction to Healthy Community Systems is a new short course team taught by Whitney Dotson MPH, the first African American candidate for the East Bay Regional Parks Board of Directors, Robin Freeman of Environmental Justice Coalition for Water and David Ralston, an Urban Planner who is bringing EJ into the American Planning Association. Introduction to Healthy Community Systems Envmt 16/Hltoc 16 Introduction to Healthy Community Systems and their impact on both human an environmental health: Exploration of how "health for all" can be built into neighborhoods and urban plans and policies; includes field projects.
