Administrative Associate - The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN)

Position Summary
CPEHN is looking for a part-time (80%) Administrative Associate based in our Oakland office. The Administrative Associate is responsible for providing administrative support for CPEHN’s program and policy activities.
 
Major duties will include:
  • Answering and fielding calls.
  • Submitting letters of support to policymakers for CPEHN priority bills and tracking letters of support for CPEHN sponsored bills.
  • Providing administrative support for CPEHN’s regional convenings, including securing interpreters, compiling resources and speaker presentations, sending thank you notes to speakers, and compiling and analyzing participant evaluation forms.
  • Assisting in building and maintaining relationships with local organizations to partner with in our policy and program work.
  • Scheduling and coordinating legislative visits, including scheduling appointments with legislative offices, coordinating with Having Our Say members, and sending thank you letters.
  • Providing administrative support for Having Our Say meetings including ordering food, assembling meeting packets, and taking meeting minutes.
  • Processing travel reimbursements for Having Our Say members.
  • Coordinating special projects, assignments, and activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least two years of administrative experience.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to apply initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively and professionally with diverse staff and stakeholders.
  • Interest in CPEHN’s mission and relevant public policy issues.
Compensation
$35,000 – $40,000 FTE (DOE). Excellent benefits.
